About the Harrison Street x REPEC Case Competition

The Harrison Street Case Competition, spearheaded by REPEC's Faculty Advisor Mark Eppli, featured judges from Harrison Street and representatives from other Real Estate Private Equity firms. Teams of undergraduate and master's students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the top-ranked real estate program in the United States, were invited to participate in this case-based real estate competition. This provided an opportunity for the students to work alongside leading industry executives and gain real-world experience.

In this year's Fall Case Competition, 13 teams of 5 members each (53 students total) competed. The competition involved evaluating the purchase price and valuation of a Student Housing asset in Madison, Wisconsin. The students were tasked with developing an asset business plan and value of the property at the end of a five-year hold period, as well as pitching to a panel of judges from Harrison Street, Capital One, Colliers, and Wisconsin Graaskamp Center.
